Following the hottest trends

Revolve (U.S.)

U.S.-based store with a humongous selection of clothing. You could spend a few days browsing their massive collection including cutting-edge streetwear and designer labels like Galliano. Free shipping both directions. Just got a sexy and comfy Salvage dress from them. They included a label and return bag but no, thanks. I’m keeping my lovely slice of sizzle, thank you.

ASOS (UK)

British-based online clothing store fitting a range of budgets. A size chart link is on every product page. Note the sizes well! A women’s U.S. size 6 is a UK size 10, just to make us Americanas feel just a bit fatter than before. No worries. I saw lots of big-boned girls in Europe last spring smashed into skinny jeans. Who exactly has a bust size of 28 1/2? Yowzers.

80’s Inspired Urban Clothes – US

80s Purple (U.S.)

Super-quick U.S.-based site even with tons of urban designers. Size-selector button.

Tokyo, Shangai, Seoul Street Fashion

YESStyle (Asia, U.S.)

Asia-based store. Bold, punk. But watch out for the mostly small sizes that run smaller than U.S. sizes. For the thin and petite.

Sophisticated Italian Styles

SSense (Canada)

Montreal-based clothing shop. Small selection of sophisticated styles of higher-end designers. Free shipping to the U.S. for orders over $200. Returns accepted via USPS with tracking only. Really expensive shipping outside of Canada/U.S.

Conservative Upscale Casual

Rush Collection (France)

Paris-based clothing shop, in French only. Small selection of casual, moderately-priced upscale wear. One of the worst shopping sites I’ve seen. Difficult to actually see relevant products. €30 express shipping to U.S. 15 days to return so be quick about it.

male

Sporty London Street Wear

ReemClothing (UK)

British-based sporty streetwear store. A few women’s items but not enough worth mentioning. Great place for fitted shirts.

Urban Chic

Style Rocket (U.S.)

This U.S./Jersey store sells some women’s stuff but it’s not worth mentioning except for the Ed Hardy bikinis. For the guys, urban chic, bold graphics, UK styles too along with some cool jackets. Free USPS Priority shipping within the U.S. 30 days to return.

Daring men’s clothes

OBoy (Germany)

Okay, so you’ll have to use the translating feature on the Tools page quite a bit for this German-only site, but its daring, sexy men’s styles may be worth the hassle and they ship abroad.

female

Sexy, Betty Page, stripper wear

Pinup Girl Clothing (U.S.)

I’m not a total snob. We don’t have to be pretentious label-conscious anti-strippers here. I’m anti-bad stripper, but certainly not anti-good stripper.

Dance Shoes

I’m not a huge fan of buying shoes online, but for certain things like dance shoes, which are hard to find just anywhere, go for it.

Exotic Salsa Shoes (U.S.)

Comfortable suede-bottomed hand-made salsa shoes from $50-60 including shipping. Well-known brands but not perfect shoes and $15 deducted from returns, but great price for a comfy, good-looking shoe. I just got me a pair in sparkly red.

Felina Tango Shoes (U.S.)

These guys carry 6 brands of tango shoes ranging from $80 to $200. Basic to breathtaking premium brand Comme Il Faut. They also have a shoe exchange section for trading the ones you own, though I have no idea of its effectiveness.

Tango-Wear Dance Shoes (Argentina)

3-4 week delivery on gorgeous custom-made – yes, you heard right – CUSTOM-made shoes average $100-110 plus shipping, made with care in Argentina and shipped to you.
